Until AKDUCT PREMIER, the materials in prefabricated homes utilized for underground air systems have been fiberglass and Poly foam types. They have been a short term fix but most often are subject to leakage. For builders and contractors, these types of ductwork materials have been a problem due to exposure to extreme climate conditions and rodent problems. Additionally, they are often susceptible to damage during construction and are prone to UV deterioration

AKDUCT PREMIER is made from High Density Polyethylene HDPE which is a closed cell plastic material with excellent thermal insulating properties. It is unique to other ductwork materials because it is made from food grade plastic that is safe for humans and the environment.. The HDPE is mixed with a foaming additive to achieve a very lightweight yet strong rigid construction.

The manufactured fittings and pipe provide the beneficial properties of a smooth low friction surface that is mildew and mold resistant, radon-resistant and will not crack under pressure. It is durable, non-toxic and recyclable.

Install a AKDUCT PREMIER, the long term solution with higher return in energy cost and reduced material and labor costs (Based on HUD research "FLEX DUCT" is replaced every other year due to destruction caused by the environment around the ducting).
